  When we walked in, the kind man at the front desk politely welcomed me and gave us details about the hotel and what's around. Without having to ask, he handed us the Wi-Fi password card and we were off to relax in our room with no worries!

  Our room overlooked the river with a great view of the parliament building and Jacques Cartier park. We enjoyed our breakfast at the hotel restaurant. It is not a luxury hotel by any means. You get what you pay for. But the overall stay was good.

  We had asked the housekeeping facility to change our towels and bedsheets the night before, but it seems like nothing was done and on our way to the Jacques-Cartier Park I told them that they need to take care of that.

  Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms need a lot of work. Other reviews mention that the hotel was recently renovated but the rooms feel otherwise. Hotel is clean overall and located very close to Ottawa.

  Hotel was decent. Depending on which room you get you will have a great view. The room I had an outstanding view of the Parliament building and the park arcoss the hotel. Bathroom is a bit small in my opinion. Not sure about staff friendliness as I only stayed one night

  It would be nice if the pool was open more hours. While we were there, it was only open from 6 - 10 pm.

  The housekeeping got better after that. As we were staying at the hotel, we decided we needed to buy some extra groceries because we were running out of the food we'd packed. We went downstairs and asked the same man who'd served us before if there was a nearby grocery store. He told us that it was right behind the hotel and that the owner of the store is fluent in French.
